Hedgehog is becoming a regular night visitor to the feeding station. No sound on this camera.
Blue Tit

A Blue Tit takes a brief look at the Birdfy camera nest box. As the visit was so brief I slowed the video clip to half speed.
Hungry Hedgehog
Просмотров 805 месяцев назад
Hedgehog looking for food as it needs to put back the weight it will have lost during its long Winter hibernation.
Early Morning Robins
Просмотров 186 месяцев назад
A Robin is always the first to visit the bird feeders. This morning there was a pair. Presumably a bonded pair as two males would soon be fighting over territory ownership. I guess the one in the right was the male, keeping watch whilst his partner carried on feeding.
Hungry Blackcap

A longer, clearer visit this morning from the female Blackcap.
Blackcap?

Video slowed to 50% with two stills from the video. Not sure of my identification. I think the first bird shown is a female Blackcap. If I am wrong please let me know. The second bird is a Blue Tit.

Squirrel Hiding Peanuts
Просмотров 7911 месяцев назад
I put a bowl of peanuts on top of the Hedgehog House to see who might be interested in them. Along comes a Grey Squirrel which eats a few and decided to hide most in the grass.
Thieving Magpie

Magpie caught in the act of hiding food. I have often seen one bury the occasional peanut. This is the first time I have seen one with something larger.
Fox Visits Hedgehog Feeding Station
Просмотров 198Год назад
It has been a couple of years since I last saw evidence of a fox visiting my garden.
3 Hedgehogs
Просмотров 86Год назад
It came as a surprise when I found that three Hedgehogs had visited the feeding station in the early hours of the morning. As can be seen, they can get very aggressive towards any rivals. Unfortunately this camera no longer records sound.
Rook Raids Seed Feeder
Просмотров 38Год назад
The Rooks have found out how to open the lid on the seed feeder.
It is sepelkyyhky in finnish.
I gave food to street pigeons on a roof near one of my windows for all winter...now that is almost summer they're coming in hundreds and all my neighbors are hissing at me lololol I hope they'll stop because right now they're staying here even without receiving food from me LOL
So fat and funny
Not sure what to make of this. The Blue Tit wasn't either. Good to find a kindred spirit.
This was a good investment but starlings will eat you out of house and home.
Aye, nearly as much as the fat Wood Pigeons.
Nice catch 🙌
hoggy 🥰
I suspect that we'll have to wait a week or so up here.
I'm grateful that you invested in this camera and feeder. Keep them coming.
Keep them coming. I enjoy these.
Another grand video, I've not seen a Blackcap for years. This equipment was a good investment.
Thank you Adrian. Now I should get to see all those birds which make fleeting visits as they are all automatically recorded. I have also invested in their camera nestbox which has two cameras. One inside and one outside which watches the box entrance. I have just finished setting up its video link but am impatiently waiting for the rain to stop so I can mount it in place of the old one.
@@midmarsh I really hope the nest box gets occupied. I remember that you have achieved success in the past..............Good luck.
just love silent films. should have called it 'luscious shiny silent apples'
Excellent John. Clear as clear can be.
Thank you Adrian. Very pleased with the results so far.
Adorable little 😍 Robin ❤
🎉
13 years ago, this was posted. Thanks, I enjoyed this. Just started to grow some.
Thankyou so much! Good microscope!
Thanks John.
Excellent John. Good to see you back.
Thank you Adrian. It made a change to see some garden activity apart from House Sparrows and Starlings.
This organ is BETTER than Lincoln cathedral. PLEASE PRESERVE IT!!
they like em but not the slime!🙂
Just saw a incredible display for the first time on my garden fence. The pair were totally in tune with each others movements, they even joined beaks in a “kiss” (perhaps the male gifting food)!
Never seen anything quite like that. Corvids really are very intelligent.
I was lucky it all happened near one of the video cameras which automatically records and movenent.
Always a pleasure to watch.
A grand video. Entertaining little creatures if a little stroppy.
Thank you Adrian. It's a pity it didn't capture all the snuffling and grunting they wousld have been making.
Well worth a bit of bird food for the entertainment.
Properly saw a cat.
I LOVE THESE SPIKY LITTLE CREATURES THEY HAVE THE CUTEST FACE EVER 🦔 AND THEY CAN HALF MOTOR LOL.
They can get a shufty on. Thanks for reminding me to check the clocks on my cameras.
Excellent. I wish our grass was growing like yours we are getting through hay and haylage at an alarming rate.
That is a welcome find. I've never seen one let alone managed any video.
What a noisy eater. Good to see it enjoying the food.
Now I have a new supply of dried mealworms it will get really noisy!
Clever bird, it's obviously been squashed before.
You could have done without that. Time to get the rifle out.
They are enjoying that. Pity they raid songbird nests as they are attractive.
It is getting colder, they must be mad.
I expected the Starlings to try to bathe. The Magpies took me by surprise.
They are amazing, I never see one for months but as soon as the ground is disturbed by the plough, harrow or seed drill half a dozen appear.
Though I have seen them on local grassed areas this is the first time I have seen one in my garden.
Very good. I see you have the Fungus Gnat as well,
I’m lovin it, they are always wandering it
these little jumps made my day :D
Such a beautiful video
Excellent John, No join line for you in this one.
I just saw this happen in my garden: I was stunned. The bird table is visited by so many birds including wood pigeons, collared doves, magpies, blackbirds and smaller birds. I never saw a collared dove acting territorial before today. But it spent several minutes chasing the magpie around and around the old garden bench I use as a bird table, until the magpie gave up and flew off.
That was quick, I bet the editing took longer what with switching between machines. Looks a good job, I hope they appreciate it.
Adrian: Thanks. The slowest part was waiting for HandBrake to convert the strange AVI format from the camera to mp4 as there was over 1GB of it. The birds are already emptying everything.
Resolve will support AVI files and you can then export as MP4 for youtube. If you decide to go that route then let me know and I'll show you a quick way of formatting for RUclips.
Thanks for this. Very enjoyable.
Boom boom no more courtship👍
Great to watch the Starkings. Pity about the Wood Pigeon
I just watched some mating scenario from the window of our lab and I was impressed by that. I never saw a pigeon trying so hard to mate... She chose the other one who just appeared out of nowhere, I guess.. poor baby..
Very thin line between fighting and courting for wood pigeons
You must pursue me.
